With an action-oriented style, I thrive on driving new levels of innovation, organizational success, and stakeholder engagement, creating dynamic pathways for academic and research excellence.BIO: Dr. Talitha Washington catalyzes data science research and education across Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) nationwide. She is a tenured professor of mathematics at Clark Atlanta University and the Director and Lead Principal Investigator of the National Science Foundation (NSF) National Data Science Alliance (NDSA). Additionally, she leads as the President of the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) and was previously a Program Director at the NSF.Dr. Washington's research spans applied mathematics, dynamical systems, nonstandard finite difference schemes, data science, artificial intelligence, and education. She completed her undergraduate studies in mathematics at Spelman College, studied abroad at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico, and earned her master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Connecticut, which also awarded her an honorary doctorate in science.
