I am a Master of Social Work student at Monash University, with a passion for uplifting the wellbeing of others. Following my Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology and Arts (Major in Sociology) I discovered a keen interest in Social Work. The fields of practice I am interested in are vast, but mainly focus on supporting and advocating for the needs of women and children, and victim-survivors of crime. More specifically, I am passionate about working in sexual assault, family violence and women’s health (pregnancy, childbirth, sexual health). Through my MSW and 1000 hours of student placement, I hope to cultivate my skills in counselling, assessments, advocacy and referrals. Meeting clients with a strengths-based and person-centred approach is extremely important to me, and empowering them to maximise their wellbeing.
