Studied the effects of oil development on the occurrence and abundance of grassland songbirds and their predators in southeast Saskatchewan. Duties included point counts for all grassland birds and avian predators, vegetation surveys, ground squirrel surveys, and mid-size mammal surveys.

Surveyed for plants and animals covered under the species-at-risk act for the Canadian Wildlife Service, as part of the divestment of community pastures. Duties included occurrence surveys for endangered plants in southern Saskatchewan as well as working at Last Mountain Lake National Wildlife Area.
