I grew up in NC in a family of writers. From an early age, I attended concerts – interviewed the Stones in ’65- and cultural events and active in Raleigh theatre, first appeared in “Our Town” as Rebecca and on TV on a weekly program called “It’s a Small World.” I went to Chatham Hall for high school and UNC-Chapel Hill as a theater major and moved to NYC, working as a media buyer and then producing commercials. I was a speechwriter in D.C. and wrote a column, “It Says Here” for The Pilot newspaper in Southern Pines,NC for many years often mailing it in depending on where I was. I spent 6 months in London working with Anglo-American Workshops as an actor & training filmmakers, returned to the states and moved to L.A. where I lived for 20+ years working in TV (The Shield, Dream On) films ( Last Lives, Illicit Behavior), theatre (AMADEUS at the Hollywood Bowl, A Lie of the Mind) & doing VO. I was a founding member of KINGS & CLOWNS, the Shakespeare Alliance (Titania, Kate and one of the 1st women to play Prospero!) and performed hundreds of characters with Tsunami Radio Theatre. I also ran the casting office at the SAG Conservatory at AFI and taught classes in casting there.
