My position as a technical writer, and more recently an eLearning specialist, involves researching, organizing, and ultimately creating online coursework for state-approved certifications. The company services a variety of professionals from real estate brokers, to mortgage loan originators, insurance providers, plumbers, contractors, electricians, and more, by providing coursework that satisfies state-required licensing education. I write outlines, coursework, videos, activities, exams, and assessments, as well as a variety of documentation including timed outlines, revision documents, exam keys, and more to fit state-provided requirement (which vary by state in their required topics, lengths, etc.). I work directly with subject matter experts, video production teams and customers, as well as indirectly with state officials. I am experienced in the verticals of real estate, mortgage loan origination, and insurance. This role requires advanced writing skills, clear communication, technical aptitude with eLearning platforms, and adept ability to understand complex topics and translate them into comprehensive education.

This this was a join project done with Transcent JP with oversight from JFOODO. My production team was flown to southern Japan where we documented a fourth generation master tea producer. From their website: "Established by Kamimizu Sousuke, the Kamimizu family has been growing tea in Miyazaki Prefecture for over 120 years. Today, the family farms without the use of pesticides and without the use of fertilizers in order create tea according the biorhythm of the tea plants." The video in its entirety was produced by my business partner and myself. Though my primary roles for this project were Director and Cinematographer I also worked as second editor, colorist, assistant translator and contributed by means of consultation throughout the process.

It has been my great pleasure to work cross-culturally between the Craft Beer world of Japan and the US west coast. I was not only able to utilize my videography skills, but also incorporate my Japanese language skills and years of historical and cultural studies. This project was done in conjunction with Tortoise Agency and the Drink in a New Language campaign. It was done with the over site of Jfoodo. For this project I worked primarily as the lead editor and colorist. Along with the video work, I also consulted for the ad campaign, providing cross-cultural incite as well as additional support for translation. Similarly, I had been involved with their home-grown festival in the park Funk in the Forest, which is now going on its 7th year. The festival and accompanying logo have gone on to acquire notoriety among the locals through various campaigns and merchandising. This role required primarily technical and practical photography and editing, Brand Design, Logo Design, and strong Communication Skills.

I was responsible for all aspects of business, including scheduling the demo's, arranging the products and necessary materials, engaging and informing shoppers, providing extensive documentation, and even brokering sales. This role required managing multiple clients simultaneously, efficient and effective communication, detailed organization, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
