I've always been interested in intersectionality and the overlap between different areas of study. So I double majored in chemistry and communications to gain a more comprehensive understanding of complex social problems.Growing up as a child of immigrants, I grew up in a space between two cultures and found the idea of studying subjects independently reductive and simplistic. Whenever solutions to complex problems were discussed, they always involved a connective overlap between different areas of study. I consider myself a systematic thinker and would like to continue developing my knowledge in a connective process that promotes social equity and sustainability. My short term career goal is to find a position in environmental chemistry that will help hone my skills and understanding in convergence between chemistry, sustainability and communication.
