I currently work as a Licensed Social Worker at New Directions Counseling Center in Princeton, IL. The owner has decided to shut the practice down and I have been hired for a remote role at Mindful Therapy & Wellness in Chicago, IL starting May 1, 2023. I have an extensive background in customer service and have been working in the Social Work field since March 2015. I have a passion for helping others which has lead me to a wide range of experience in: customer service, hospice/grief, community services, case management, inter-disciplinary teamwork, leading support groups, correctional mental health professional, substance abuse treatment (individual and group), individual mental health counseling, and marriage and family counseling (both in-person and virtually).Having been born and raised in a small rural town, I am familiar with the challenges of small town living and have created and run several grief, substance abuse, and structured treatment groups for my community. I enjoy nature, reading, watching movies, and most importantly, spending time with my family. I love to learn and am always reading something. I believe in positivity and putting good into the world.
