Makan is a Palestinian-led non-profit based in the UK that works to strengthen voices for Palestinian rights through educational and capacity-building programmes.Co-founded and developed the organisation, grew its team and Board of Trustees, and manage the organisation and its team, setting strategy and long-term vision for the organisation as well as building systems and processes.

A non-profit initiative that 1) raises awareness of the blockade on Gaza and 2) raises funds for educational and healthcare projects in the region by holding annual cycling challenges that mobilise people worldwide to actively contribute and make a positive impact to people's lives in the Gaza strip.- Conceptualisation, founding and growth: Set up the initiative, built its identity and branding, built network of supporters, donors, and friends of Cycling4Gaza- Leading and directing: lead internal team of volunteers managing the initiative- Organisation and planning: organised and managed annual cycling challenges since 2009- NGO and project management: Built long-standing relations with NGOs working in the Gaza Strip (Palestine Children’s Relief Fund; Welfare Association; Medical Aid for Palestinians)Cycling4Gaza has raised over $1.2 million to support vulnerable Palestinian communities, and has been featured on CNN Arabic, FOX news, Aljazeera, Mondoweiss, Open Democracy, and others.

Alfanar is an Arab venture philanthropy organisation that supports local NGOs and community organisations with a rights-based focus. - Youth outreach: conceptualized, designed, implemented and managed youth outreach initiative Jussoor, a support network for Alfanar and platform for young people to contribute to Arab development and civil society efforts.- Communications and filmmaking: managed Alfanar’s communications, including producing films and handling website.- Fundraising- Proposal writing- Strategic planning
