I have been working in the security industry for over 20 years, and am a member of the Senior Leadership team for Certis Security Australia, GM Head of Compliance and legal counsel. Prior to this, I was with SNP Security for 15 years until Certis acquired SNP Security in 2018. Over the years I have spent in the security industry my role has enabled me to work across aviation, protective services, electronics and monitoring.I am passionate about the security industry, and the need to champion the important issues effecting the industry. I was honoured to be elected to the board of directors of the Australian Security Industry Association Ltd (ASIAL) in 2021, and look forward to working alongside my fellow board members to achieve practical and meaningful outcomes to benefit industry. I have been involved in a number of industry panels including subcommittee member for the Australian/NZ Standard for Guard and Patrol Security Services. I also served 4 years on the NSW Police Security Licensing & Enforcement Directorate (SLED) Advisory Council, elected as an industry representative in 2015, and re-elected 2019. I have been a member of all the ASIAL special interest groups since 2015, and am a member of ASIS.Prior to working in the security industry, I was a Police Officer with Queensland Police.I hold a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Science (Security), Master of Security Management, Diploma of Management, and am a Certified Lead Auditor.I have been coordinating the Ronald McDonald House 'meals from the heart' program for Certis for the past 10 years, to try and help in a small way the families staying at the house.
