Whilst managing the Antony Gormley Studio, I oversaw the varied operations for one of the world’s most successful artists, including the management of a team of over 60 creatives to deliver an international schedule of exhibitions, large-scale public works, films, publications, and collaborations. I established, communicated, and updated strategic and operational plans that align with the artist’s strategic agenda whilst achieving the highest standards of excellence. With my keen financial acumen, I managed all aspects of the organisation’s financial performance, including operational and project budgets in excess of £20m annually to meet agreed business priorities whilst controlling costs to maintain profitability. As a people leader, I facilitated the recruitment, training and retention of diverse, world-class specialist and project-specific talent to realise the studio's ambitions. I was proud to cultivate a positive organisational culture that fostered creativity and prioritised diversity, inclusion, sustainability, innovation, and excellence.

In this role, I led a team of 15 staff to deliver on agreed priorities, including setting and monitoring of objectives, professional development, mentoring and performance evaluations, and supporting staff to achieve their career goals. I designed, administered, and monitored a complex schedule of project, site and studio deadlines. My collaboration skills saw me work closely with multiple external partners to deliver expansive projects both locally and overseas, ensuring works were delivered on time, to budget and within the agreed scope. Additionally, I facilitated an environment that drove collaboration across languages and cultures to create exhibitions in over 25 countries including Russia, China, Brazil and the USA.
