In EMOTER, I have been organizing medical outreaches in Uganda since 2020. We provide essential medical care in remote areas of Uganda. As a co-founder, I am primarily focused on securing funding for our activities, searching for subsidy opportunities, creating educational materials, and communicating with the media and our donors.In 2021, we treated more than 6 800 people and vaccinated more than 1 300 kids. This year we have ten more medical outreaches planned to treat even more patients.What does EMOTER do?- medical outreaches- vaccination, deworming, and vitamin administration- education about prevention, organizing educational workshops- in the future, we plan to include: antenatal care, dental careWho are we?We are a nonprofit organization consisting of doctors, medical students, and other (including non-medical) specialists from both the Czech Republic and Uganda. A total of 15 volunteers is now making sure that essential healthcare is available even in the furthest corners of Nebbi district in Uganda.What makes us unique?Thanks to close international cooperation with doctors from Uganda, who participate in the outreaches, we have the trust of local people. In the next ten years, we plan to build our hospital and medical school in Nebbi.
