III Corps ACofS G9, G9 Plans and G9 Operations

Civil-Military Operations (CMO) subject matter expert for an Infantry Brigade Combat Team deployed to Afghanistan supporting a counter-insurgency mission. Synched with the Brigade Commander's intent and guidance, trained and advised the brigade's staff and subordinate battalions on Civil Affairs Operations as a part of the non-kinetic effort. Responsible for the coordination of CMO to include clutural operations; consequence management; humanitarian assistance/disaster relief; development and reconstruciton; civil information; interagency operations with US, International and Host Nation officials. Managed the Commander's Emergency Response Program for the brigade and Regional Command North.

Responsible for the professional development, training, certification, supervison and deployment of a 2-man planning team to suport strategic Civil-Military Operations (CMO) and Civil Affairs Operations (CAO) planning. Integrated and synchronized CAO into strategic estimates, contingency plans and operational plans. Supported the development of global Civil Information Management (CIM) concepts through input and interaction with military, US governmental and Interagencies responsible for collecting, mapping and fusing human terrain, cultural preparation of the environment and other civil component information programs.
