In 2022, I founded Richtungswechsel to use my experience working as a frontline prison officer on the Unlocked Graduates Programme. Richtungswechsel aims support prison services in Austria and on a European scale to recruit mission-aligned professionals as prison officers as well as detention house staff and support current members of staff in their training and personal development. Furthermore, Richtungswechsel spotlights the incredibly important work prison staff complete every single day and change society's narrative around what it means to be a successful prison officer.

As Prison Research Advisor, I contribute to the implementation of the Female Offender Strategy by building an evidence base for policy and operational strategy in the Women‘s Estate.My current focus are people at high risk of re-offending and TACT prisoners.

Project implementation, coordination, research and data collection under supervision by UNODC staff in Nigeria, Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, and the United Kingdom to develop evidence-based policy advice and put in place effective rehabilitation and social reintegration services with a view to reducing recidivism.

Researching and writing policy for Her Majesty‘s Prison and Probation Service on the topic of Deaths in Custody.

Being responsible for the welfare of up to 70 prisoners on a daily basis, supervising, supporting, and managing prisoners decently, lawfully, and safely in this women’s establishment. Identifying and resolving complex prisoner issues and concerns, eg. family problems, mental health, and housing, requiring a high level of emotional intelligence to ensure prisoners are listened to and encouraged in their rehabilitation.Liaising with prisoners on a one-to-one basis, providing both short and long term support for women requiring additional care. Promoted to Equalities Officer in June 2020, with tasks aimed towards resolving diversity and inclusion issues within the establishment.
