Regional Sales Manager
CurrentOne of the oldest wine estates in South Africa and a long-established independent liquor distributor.Key responsibilities:· Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager.· Responsible for sales across Johannesburg.· Identifying branding and marketing opportunities.· Selling into the FMCG, off consumption and on consumption channels.· Calling on restaurants and liquor stores.· Retail clients include Pick ‘n Pay, Spar and Checkers.· Account management of existing clients, promoting long term relationships.· Prospecting for new clients.· Resolving customer queries.· Developing product knowledge by providing training for restaurant and retail staff.· Product merchandising.· Ensuring quality assurance and compliance with branding guidelines.· Work closely with the marketing teams and assist with on and off-site activities (often weekend and public holidays).· Weekly activity reports, work plans, sales call feedback, competitor analyses, monthly and annual territory analyses.· Share market research and insights with sales and marketing management.· Negotiate deals.· Managing sales and merchandising reps and merchandisers.· Monitoring and implementing promotional activities.· Plan and manage wine shows and weekly promotions, including in-store tastings (often at weekends and on public holidays).
