Manage SCI's global strategy aimed at improving the utilisation of data and strengthening analytical capacity across SCI ensuring evidence and learning better informs programmatic and strategic decision-making. In this role I lead SCI's global support to needs assessments and represent SCI at external forum such as the Grand Bargain - in particular supporting the interagency initiative of Joint Intersectoral Analysis Framework which is part of the Humanitarian Needs Overview process.

Overseeing the quality and support for MEAL teams across SCI countries involved in the regional Ukraine response - primarily Ukraine, Poland, Romania and Lithuania. This role involved a hybrid of providing strategic oversight, managing regional projects such as interagency children consultation and providing hand on support in countries when needed.

My role with Save the Children (SC) entails supporting and leading priority areas to ensure quality responses, capacity building and preparedness as well as pushing forward SC global initiatives through the leadership of the ‘Needs Assessment Task Team’; Co-leading a review of SCI humanitarian response in South Sudan; MEAL adviser cover for the Myanmar Humanitarian response (3 months), and WCA regional MEAL cover role for 3 months.

Manage MEAL team and tackle systemic quality concerns

Focus on ensuring quality humanitarian responses based on evidence of what works and what communities need. This role entails:- Deploying to support responses and country offices: MEAL manager to Cat 1 and 2 responses (Rohingya, Myanmar responses), capacity building and preparedness trainings (Mozambique, Turkey, Jordan etc.) leading child consultations (N.E. Nigeria), and conducting evaluations (Madagascar)- Setting up MEAL department for inter-agency consortium projects (e.g. Iraq)- Leading research, child-consultations, internal reviews/evaluations and needs assessment across SC country offices (NE Nigeria, Myanmar, Bangladesh etc.) - Developing and implementing global capacity building projects as well as tailored trainings for responses (Mozambique, Turkey, Iraq, Bangladesh etc.)

Responsible for helping set up, recruit, capacity and managed the new MEAL team in Cox's Bazar

Iraq

- Responsible for leading flagship multi-sectoral assessments in ‘hard-to-reach areas’ either recently liberated or still under ISIS-control, such as Mosul City. - Developed REACH’s ‘Mosul Rapid Assessment Programme’ which has become a critical source of information for national and international NGOs on the needs of those affected by the crisis.- Led and trained a team of 10+ as part of rapid needs assessment hub to collect primary data in Arabic in IDP camps and recently liberated areas. - Attended high-level coordination meetings and working groups.- Published more than 20 documents on 'hard-to-reach areas' in Iraq and on the Mosul Humanitarian Response.

- Coordinated with REACH teams across Middle-East, North and West Africa and South Asia to ensure the quality and timely production on outputs. - Conducted research for a migration project in Eastern Europe and authored a post distribution monitoring for UNICEF in Syria. - Edited and reviewed outputs in Arabic and English - Designed outputs (using Adobe suite programmes such as InDesign)- Managed REACH’s online resource centre

- Conducted research for a number of projects including a multi-million pound program funded by DFID ‘Ideas to Impact’ which researched the possibility of using innovation prizes to address water and Sanitation challenges. - Co-authored a UNICEF funded paper on the case for investing in children in WASH and a thematic paper on agricultural water management as part of a portfolio review of African Water Facilities projects since 2006. - Managing the website, billing clients and the organisation’s finances
