As a Compliance Officer my duties include monitoring and auditing all in-house financial promotions to ensure our output complies with internal policies and regulatory & legal requirements as set out by the FCA, ASA and ICO. I am also responsible for auditing 3rd party marketing in the form of websites, emails, SMS and PPC campaigns. In addition to this I am tasked with completing regulatory audits, such as the Data Protection and Information Security and Anti Money Laundering audits, to ensure that we as a firm have robust policies and procedures in place, and that they are adhered to by all members of staff. My success on the Compliance team at Quint is evident not only in the processes I have helped make more efficient, but also in the decline in complaint figures and regulatory breaches, and overall improved quality of marketing output.

My duties as a Quality Assurance Analyst included working with different business areas and ensuring that agreed company and FCA processes and procedures were being followed and adhered to. Since starting on the team, I have taken on additional responsibilities in order to further my knowledge of compliance and regulatory practices. I was also responsible for collating data for monthly MI, conducting call-levelling sessions, dealing with call audit appeals, identifying risk trends and providing feedback to senior management. I was also in charge of the monthly Compliance and Quality Assurance newsletter. Since I joined the team, there has been a decrease in non-compliance across both advisory and operations functions, and many processes have been improved and streamlined, which are both direct results of my dedication, skill, knowledge and proactive approach.

The Guild in Wilmslow is a charity and relies heavily on the support of volunteers. Whilst volunteering at the Guild I provided support to members by enrolling them onto courses, processing payments and dealing with queries from members and third parties. I also organised and updated their policies and procedures such as the Data Protection & Privacy policies.

I initially started working as an Inbound Sales Advisor but soon after moved on to the Outbound Sales team as I had a natural flair for customer service and sales. Within one month of working in this role I had beaten all my targets and exceeded all KPIs. As part of the Outbound team my role was to make calls to customers from various leads and sources and to find loan products that matched the customer’s requirements. Having an in depth knowledge of secured and unsecured lenders and the products they offer, teamed with a very strong sales ability, and warm and friendly personality, I continued to exceed in this role and regularly received praise from managers and peers as well as great feedback from customers.

As a dual site Manager my time was divided between managing the Phase Eight store in Wilmslow and the Phase Eight department in John Lewis Cheadle. My priority was to ensure KPIs such as average customer spend, sales targets, visual merchandising and staff retention were achieved and exceeded. I was also in charge of training and mentoring staff, conducting monthly reviews and one to ones, as well as recruitment of new team members. As part of this role I also analyzed KPIs and sales figures and produced weekly reports, maintained all notice boards and electronic and hard copies of files.
