Principal Investigator for Ohio, the CDC Public Health Emergency Preparedness grant and the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) Hospital grant, coordinating the budget and work plan for a $27M program.-Overhauled public health preparedness program to ensure health departments built and strengthened ability to respond to public health threats, including infectious diseases, natural disasters, and biological, chemical, nuclear, and radiological events. -Maintained the state warehouse (complementary to the federal Strategic National Stockpile's role), to supplement local medical resources and equipment during public health emergencies. Secured more than $250M and 44M units of PPE and equipment necessary to establish a backstop in the global supply chain for impacted Ohio response agencies.
