As a member of a [now-defunct] team at the USC Stevens Center for Innovation charged with launching start-ups and commercializing university research, I have been inspired by and immersed in the ecosystem of innovation in Southern California over the past three years. A former project specialist at a university research center and assistant at another, research with the potential for lasting societal impact has always been a passion of mine. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to support translating research into practice through funding programs and technology showcases. I possess 12 years of experience with financial administration, faculty/student/client support, and research protocol in higher education. I am skilled at event coordination, internal/external metrics reporting, program budget administration and creative coordination of print/online marketing campaigns. I have recently earned Contracts & Grants Certification in Grant Administration from the University of Southern California, and also have experience with social science research methods including program evaluation, focus group/interview design, and survey design, analysis and reporting.I have advanced knowledge of computer applications and platforms including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite; Adobe Acrobat and InDesign; DreamWeaver, Inteum, Qualtrics, Constant Contact, and Mail Chimp. I am currently receiving training for Wellspring: Sophia - a widely-used portfolio management platform in technology transfer offices - and recently completed training on invention reporting for federally-funded research via iEdison.I am interested in advancing my career toward grant and program administration at a top-tier university/research institute in support of ground-breaking research, translational/proof-of-concept programs, technology commercialization, business development and technology transfer.
