About Tamara Miller

I began farming in 2009 with eight alpacas. The original herd has grown to a herd of over twenty huacaya alpacas. The farm's focus is on breeding gray alpacas with fineness and consistency. The fiber produced from the alpacas is processed primarily on the farm and is made into many alpaca finished fiber products including hand spun yarn, roving, and batts. Via Verde Farm has expanded to include an on-site boutique that carries hand made products as well as exceptional quality alpaca sweaters, scarves, mittens, hats and coats. The farm received the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP) certification for livestock and farmstead in September 2013.
