As a 4th grade SS teacher at Belle Chasse Academy, I work with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities, and help them develop their social studies skills and knowledge. I have over six years of teaching experience in various settings, including international schools, virtual platforms, and public schools. I am also pursuing my EdD in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus on culturally responsive pedagogy and curriculum design.Teaching is more than a profession for me; it is a passion and a mission. I enjoy working on projects with people who want to make a difference in the communities they work in, and I have been involved with public engagement and volunteerism in the private sector. I have extensive knowledge and skills in urban planning, real estate law, ArcGIS, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint, which I use to enrich my teaching and learning. I also speak Spanish, French, and Chinese, and I love to travel and learn about different cultures and perspectives.
