Transform Student Learning:*Co-created/presented, “Connections and Joy”. IMPACT: School-wide commitment to building strong relationships with all students, with a special focus on the students who need us the most.*Facilitated the creation of School Improvement Plan, within an equity framework, to move student’s academic achievement and engagement, while centering student well-being and belonging that focused on small group instruction within literacy and numeracy. IMPACT: Increased student engagement in the learning environment. *Facilitated training sessions to support neuro-divergent learners' deep literacy acquisition. IMPACT: Data demonstrated that our neurodivergent learners increased their language acquisition.*Facilitated ‘Self in Literature', that initiated a transformation in the school-wide literature, ensuring that storylines and images accurately represent the student body. Scheduled bi-monthly opportunities for students to receive teacher-led learning opportunities focused on Culturally Relevant and Responsive Pedagogy (CRRP) literature. IMPACT: Increased student engagement in literature, a commitment to CRRP, and an increase in the diversity of the school literature ensuring that students saw themselves in the print and the images.*Built staff capacity, deepened in 21st Century best learning practices through co-facilitated monthly staff meetings that intentionally committed to Truth and Reconciliation. IMPACT: Staff-wide learning and commitment to Truth and Reconciliation that translated into intentional unlearning and relearning through a decolonized lens at the student level.System Transformation:*Created a vision and structure to move forward transition planning for students with complex needs that became the foundation for the current Toronto District School Board’s transition plan. IMPACT: The creation of a system wide transition plan that centers student with complex needs, engages family voice, focusses on breaking down barriers, and supports students to successfully transition to a new grade and potentially to a new school. *Created and presented, “The Gift of Dyslexia” to the Executive Supervisory Officer and the Learning Center 1 Supervisory Officers. IMPACT: System level understanding of a literary technique to support our neurodivergent learners in their acquisition of letters and sight words. *Co-Designed three outdoor play space projects. IMPACT: Three distinct outdoor learning and engagement spaces were constructed, thereby creating movement spaces that met the diverse needs of all students

Impact : The educational needs of the student body were met through a planned budget framework that was balanced year over year.Oversaw Smartfind and SAP to fill jobs when staff were absent and authorized the weekly jobs. Impact : The school was appropriately staffed, and employees were paid for the duties that they fulfilled.Created a system to document the students that were going on extended vacations and communicated with families about regular attendance. Impact : The school was able to track students on extended vacation and plan for the students’ educational gaps.Collaborated with the Board and Provincial Attendance Counselors. Impact : Improved student attendance.Chaired Opportunity to Respond meetings in collaboration with the various unions. PrincipalThe Elms Junior Middle School Sep 2007 - Mar 2008Empowered and built capacity amongst Virtual Administrators, as they navigated their focused grades, which consisted of over 100 educators, support workers, and over 1200 students and families.
