I apply my expertise in psychological science of culture, aging, emotion, and decision making to assess and reduce disparities. At the same time, we work to identify inclusive in person and digital Fidelity solutions (e.g., customer service, decision support, educational opportunities, etc.) informed by untapped, unique perspectives thanks to an increasingly diverse consumer base. In my role, I direct and consult on research investigating historically underrepresented Americans including ethnic minority groups, members of the LGBTQ+ community, people managing disabilities, and veterans across the adult life span. Not only do we apply inclusion by developing evidence-based strategies, solutions, education, and interventions. In collaboration with other researchers, we are also sharing our expertise in culture and psychology, anthropology, behavioral economics, marketing, data science, and UXR to comprehensively educate one other on best practices for research on diversity and inclusion from design and analytics to interpretation of findings and potential for scalable impact across several communities. Additionally, we regularly share our research when connecting with partners in other key areas of the business such as the Customer Inclusion team who can translate the science into action and bring our latest views of the data to life.

As director of the Sightlines project, I oversee conducting and translating research to help all Americans live long and live well. In the past century, thanks to scientific advances, we have nearly doubled our life spans. Yet, our culture has has been slow to catch up with many of us ill prepared to live to 100. The goal of the project is to describe how well Americans are prepared for long lives in terms of financial security, healthy living, and social engagement, all of which have been empirically linked to well-being throughout the life span. We also strive to educate key stakeholders about areas where Americans need the most support, and which groups are most vulnerable. Ultimately, this work is intended to shape the conversation around aging, broadening our focus from preventing ailments in old age to maximizing wellness at all ages.
