Working in the field of psychology since 1999, has afforded me the privilege to be of service to many individuals with mental health issues, special needs also substance abuse.Since my inception of Ravens Hope in September of 2008. .Free food give-a-ways for the Los Angeles county and surrounding areas were offered. Fundraising for Holiday Feast, by cooking of turkeys and connecting with local venues to successfully provide hot meals for families and individuals. Raven’s Hope collaborated with the Sister Circle under the M.O.E.R. (Making Our Environment Right) Foundation serving women and children. Events such as the “National Mothers Day Tea; and also the Annual Christmas Toy Drive. The Downtown Women’s Shelter; and also The Children of the Night benefited from these ventures in the Los Angeles area . Teams were created and connected in the Atlanta, Seattle, Boston, and Los Angeles for distribution of gifts and donations. Facilitation of Parenting Classes at the Regency’s Women Center in Whittier. Where women on probation/parole benefited greatly, however anyone who needed help could attend. These Parenting Classes were court-approved through the state of California for free to anyone. This program was sponsored through First 5 of Los Angeles and is part of the California Coalition of Healthy Families. These same classes were also offered and ran by me weekly concurrently in the greater Los Angeles area at a local community center state of California Job Work source. Where majority of the participants were women.
