About Tamara Tiessen

I'm a senior environmental scientist with 18 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry in western and northern Canada. I have technically led and completed remote northern programs such as site inspections, reclamation, and remediation programs (i.e., Phase I, II and III Environmental Site Assessments). My career is focused within the upstream oil and gas industry and northwest territories contaminated sites within discontinuous and continuous permafrost environments. I have experience in all aspects of contaminated site assessment and remediation including Phase I, II and III Environmental Site Assessments, conceptual site model development, screening level risk assessments, contaminated site assessments, ex-situ and in-situ remediation, environmental liability assessments, seismic water well testing, and regulatory compliance programs including soil and groundwater environmental monitoring for oilfield, commercial, and industrial clients. I'm a member of the Canadian Environmental Certification Approvals Board (CECAB) as a Canadian Environmental Professional (EP) and is registered with the Alberta Institute of Agrology, RT(Ag).
