Coordinated the launch, delivery and improvement of Lead Learn Excel, an intensive yearlong professional development fellowship for early childhood leaders in Illinois, Washington and Oregon. Served as the subject matter expert to write the content and acted as the lead trainer to deliver the training series to participants. In addition I provided technical assistance to state/local partners, coached individual leaders and facilitated peer learning communities of practice. 

Provide CLASS Observation and Introduction Training to all participants in Lead Learn Excel, an intensive year long professional development fellowship for early childhood leaders. Provided CLASS reliability support to participants and assisted in the delivery of other Lead Learn Excel trainings. Served as an Implementation Advisor to leaders as they worked on transferring new professional learning routines and models to practice.

Ensured all education related performance standards were met for all partner agencies and program models including Home Based and Family Child Care Homes. Provided on-going individual and group training to all levels of staff including directors and leadership, home visitors, family child care providers and teachers. Monitored and provide training for the Teaching Strategies GOLD assessment system. Analyzed data following each check point period and used information to plan for continuous improvement. Assisted in the development of policies and procedures that reflected best practice and Early Head Start requirements and initiatives.

Through a relationship based approach and multiple professional development experiences worked with teachers to transform and sustain high quality teaching practices. Supported agency leadership to strategically focus on creating organizational conditions to support teacher effectiveness and children’s learning. Activities included weekly contact with teaching teams to consruct effective coaching cycles and monthly meetings with agency leaders and direct supervisors to better support quality management systems and strong organizational conditions.

Communicated and disseminated the Office of Head Start’s School Readiness Framework and NCQTL’s evidence based early childhood practices to early childhood professionals across the country. Provided training to Region V Federal staff on multiple areas of quality early childhood practices. Planned and delivered trainings, workshops and “School Readiness Summits” at multiple State, regional and National Head Start Events.
