Currently I am the commissioning editor of Stripe Press, the publishing imprint of Stripe, and a board member of Institute for Progress and the Foundation for American Innovation. For Stripe Press I also wrote and hosted a podcast about infrastructure, “Beneath the Surface”.Previously, I worked as the head of strategy at the Charter Cities Institute, and at the Mercatus Center. I hold a B.S. in economics from Southern Methodist University, where I also worked as a Niemi Fellow in the O’Neil Center for Global Markets. My byline has appeared in the Chicago Tribune, Works in Progress, and a16z. For Stripe Press I also wrote and hosted a limited-run podcast about infrastructure—Beneath the Surface—which you can find on any podcast platform. I’m based in NYC and on twitter @_tamarawinter.
