Mijn doel is om leren zó leuk te maken dat zelfs de verplichte online compliance trainingen een feestje zijn. Kun je nagaan hoe tof de e-learnings over andere onderwerpen zijn: een online escaperoom, een videogame, interactieve werkvormen... En dat alles omgeven van tekst die zo soepel wegleest dat je er al doorheen bent voordat je je verveelde of afgeleid raakte. Je houdt het niet voor mogelijk ;-) Bij RMMBR worden zulke digitale leeroplossingen gecreëerd en ontwikkeld voor medewerkers van allerhande organisaties. Dankzij de leeroplossingen worden zij nóg beter in hun werk - er valt immers altijd nog iets nieuws te leren. Ik werkte aan projecten voor o.a. VodafoneZiggo, Unigarant, Loyens & Loeff, funda, FrieslandCampina, DPG Media, ANWB, gemeente Amsterdam, ING en Ministerie van Defensie. Binnen de projecten was ik verantwoordelijk voor het didactisch ontwerp van onze online of blended leeroplossingen en de uitwerking daarvan in geschreven tekst en videoscripts.

I founded Tam in Amsterdam to help expats to overcome their fear of speaking Dutch. My goal is to empower them to speak Dutch with confidence, feel even more at home in the low lands and get around comfortably and fluently. Therefore, the classes are educational by nature and fun by design. Meaning: we focus on speaking and making conversation. I offer small group courses (max. 6 participants), private tutoring and in-company classes. What works best for you depends on your language proficiency level, your way of learning and your goals. Levels vary from beginners (A1) to upper-intermediate (B2).

The wines we serve come from small farmers and family businesses from all over the world. They create unique wines in a traditional way - this results in very unique products. I met the owners of Dutch Network Group a few years ago. As soon as I decided to leave 99designs, Willem asked me to come work for his platform in Utrecht. My knowledge of, and experience in marketing was exactly what they needed. I was temporarily placed in the position of Traffic Manager. In this position I was responsible for the coördination of all commercial content we published on the online platforms (with over 750.000 contact moments a month) and in the printed magazine (circulation of 130.000 per issue). Daily activities included creating email newsletters, managing and optimizing online marketing campaigns (display, advertorials) and creating reports for partners. I worked with Google Analytics, Salesforce Pardot and DoubleClick for Publishers. To give this function the boost I needed, I got the chance to specialize in email marketing. This gave me the responsibility over the email marketing strategy and email database (60.000 Dutch entrepreneurs). I also learned some html coding! Soon we concluded that a fulltime function in marketing was an even better fit for all parties and this meant the next step in my career at Dutch Network Group.

I was an intern at the publicity department of this publisher. I was responsible for writing press releases about new books and maintaining press contacts. I also had to archive all the reviews that came in and I did some research on online book blogs and I managed a consumer contest. I supported the special sales manager with selling books to non-bookshops.Next to this, I have also written my bachelor thesis for this company. My thesis aims to identify the perfect business model to exploite e-books in the fiction genre. I conduct a qualitative study that consists of desk research on relevant business models in music, film and game industry, interviews with professionals in the entertainment business and a focus group with Dutch authors.

MediaTest is a research company specialized in media and communications. I conducted scientific research to set up an online video panel. This research consisted of desk research and face-to-face interviews. During this internship I learned a lot of different methods in qualitative research.

I maintained the entire website in two languages; I wrote news items for the website in Dutch and translated them in English for the international website. I also wrote appealing messages for the Facebook page I maintained and thought of customer contests to create a buzz.
