Tamara is a motivated, bilingual graduate, passionate about helping others, with a focus on children. In May 2024, she earned her Master’s of Science in Education as a School Psychologist, Summa Cum Laude, with a provisional certification in New York State from Long Island University- Brooklyn Campus.She has two years of professional experience helping individuals with a wide range of clinical presentations that include Anxiety, Depression, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, ODD, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, speech/language impairments, visual impairments and hearing impairments. Tamara has knowledge of various methods of psychological and educational assessments that are useful in identifying individuals strengths and educational needs. Tamara is a very dedicated, hardworking student and is always striving to learn more. She is known for her patience, diligence and dedication to helping children succeed academically, socially and emotionally. From youth, Tamara has been passionate about helping others. Her motivation not only stems from the reward of seeing a child succeed, but from her own life experiences as well.As of May 2024, Tamara is working towards her Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor at Brooklyn College.As of August 2024, Tamara is also working towards her Licensure as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at Touro University. She is eager and motivated to continue her education to earn her Psy.D in School Psychology. Tamara believes that life long learning is an integral part to competency in the field and is intrinsically motivated to expand her capabilities in the field of school psychology and counseling.
