In this role I have grown within my BIM management tasks, including managing the efforts of others: • Production BIM Team management: - Internal training and management of production BIM team - Family creation and cleanup through IT tickets for company-wide use - Reviewing of production Revit models, coordinate QC, and report on model status - Providing feedback and additional training on modeling based on model reviews - Interviewing new production candidates on Revit experience - Coordination of production work in BIM 360, including collaboration with consultants - Creation of new internal management and training systems • Company-wide BIM Lead team management: - Training and assistance for BIM Leads, who provide regional leadership on all BIM topics. - Communication of updated standards and best practices. • Maintenance and management of Revit content library • Review directly complex Revit models, including clash coordination. • Production of complex Revit families.• Revit troubleshooting and modeling assistance for team members company-wide.• Monthly training sessions for large production teams. • Updating and maintenance of company BIM standards, and document through videos.• Creation of training videos for onboarding and ongoing training.• Maintenance of internal company website.• Creation of new custom pyRevit tools, and assistance with documentation of existing tools.• Testing and implementation of new software.

The work I did in this office centered on creating and coordinating Revit models for new architectural projects. This included occasional renderings, clash coordination, and management of a small team.

In this studio I had the opportunity to perform various activities for conceptual and executive development of projects of different scales, in addition to working for national and international projects collaborating with my boss. Here I had the opportunity to learn new tools and new approaches to architecture outside of my comfort zone, including that of parametric architecture.

Professor Lilian Salazar’s Accessibility Clinic is focused on sensitizing us, as Architecture students, towards the need to design projects that are universally accesible and inclusive. To this end, the semester that I participated in said Clinic we evaluated the accesibility of the Toluca Campus of the Tec de Monterrey, as part of an inclusive renovation and adaptation plan.
