Clean Energy Works is a nonprofit organization that promotes inclusive payment models to ensue that everyone can access and benefit from a clean energy economy. We champion inclusive utility investments and provide technical assistance and advisory services to nonprofit organizations, utility companies, transit agencies, community groups, regulators, and others interested in increasing inclusive investment in the clean energy economy.

The Hive Fund for Climate and Gender Justice was launched in 2019 to support groups that have historically lacked access to funding but are playing impactful roles in accelerating an equitable transition to cleaner, renewable energy and reining in dirty energy in the US South.

Drawdown Georgia is a statewide initiative working to catalyze a Georgia beyond carbon. The Climate Solutions & Equity Grant program is designed to accelerate the Drawdown Georgia mission to advance achievable climate solutions that prioritize equity across the state through composting, electric vehicles, energy efficiency improvements, food waste reduction, plant-based diets, and rooftop solar.These grants empower BIPOC communities across Georgia to scale climate solutions that bring new jobs, environmental benefits, improved public health, and neighborhood investments where they are most needed.

We envision a future where the political landscape has changed to place a high priority on building a sustainable and resilient Georgia, and advancing climate justice. We are nonpartisan, pragmatic and effective.Our mission is to advocate for public policies that advance a more just and sustainable future, campaign for candidates who will make climate and environmental justice a priority, and hold elected officials accountable for their actions and votes.

SAAFON is a network of ecologically sustainable Black farmers in the Southeastern United States - Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland – and the US Virgin Islands. SAAFON is dedicated to the creation of an alternative food system that places the wellbeing of Black and indigenous farmers and communities at its center. We seek to do this by: 1) ensuring the viability and economic success of Black farmers by increasing their organic and sustainable farm practices; 2) advocating for Black sustainable farm ethic and values in the food system; and 3) promoting links among Black farming, Black culture and Black history.

Supervised six direct reports.- Led $20M US Department of Energy grant program to Top Three national ranking. - Supervised 50 service contracts ranging in value from $200K to $1.8M. - Met all DOE program deadlines and passed all DOE site visits with no adverse findings issued.

Leveraged resources to drive community-level environmental sustainability programs. Supported local governments nationwide in designing and implementing sustainable community development plans. - Served as primary content contributor and editor of project website.- Coauthored successful grant application to DOE’s Energy Efficiency Community Block Grant. - Designed methodology and coordinated multi-organization project team.- Coordinated efforts to promote green building standards in target Atlanta neighborhoods.- Served on City of Atlanta’s Climate Leadership Academy Team.

Oversaw consulting engagements to provide project-based staffing and strategic management services to boost business performance. Clients included the Fulton County/City of Atlanta Land Bank Authority, The Sullivan Center (for homelessness prevention) and Wonderland Gardens.

Supported Mayor’s strategic objectives through policy research, budgetary analysis, and other projects. Led targeted program assessments and initiatives to increase performance and cost efficiencies in multiple City departments. - Researched and wrote RFP to outsource parking enforcement services, replacing $1M annual expense with $2M-$5M in annual net revenue.- Authored policy and procedure statement for Mayor's Office Capital Improvement Projects Sub-Cabinet.

Led team in producing analyses for performance-based budget reforms. Supervised staff in diverse analysis projects, including outsourcing health services for inmates, alternative locations for public safety training facility, and expansion of crime lab. - Nominated by CFO for Rising Stars Leadership Development Program Senior Management Track.- Captured $130K in first-year savings by recommending consolidation of city print shops.- Led cost analysis of Underground Atlanta for Mayor’s Economic Development Sub -Cabinet.

Researched and authored recommendations on wide range of municipal operations, programs, and policy issues. - Improved bill tracking/collections by analyzing leases and making policy recommendations. - Analyzed Mayor’s proposal to provide universal health care coverage to Atlanta residents. - Led review of proposal to outsource management of City’s golf courses.

Led cross-departmental teams to identify policy changes for grants research and development, training, accounting/reporting, and approval/acceptance process. Centralized grants processes for all City departments and launched grants intranet site.- Saved $100K over 3 years by securing non-governmental partner to share grants locater costs. - Convened group of government agencies, university researchers, and private partners to pursue funding for citywide flood early warning system.

Responsible for all aspects of legislative strategy and agenda, personnel management, and office operations.- Researched and prepared weekly legislative briefings for City Council Member- Coordinated City Council Advisory Group for Flooding and Drainage Issues Committee. - Converted City Council Office constituent services to paperless process and eliminated over 1,000 inherited backlog cases in six months.

Managed all aspects of electoral campaign in a highly competitive race for Houston City Council. Executed highly disciplined quantitative voter-identification campaign strategy- Overcame political predictions in winning the lead in both the run-off and general elections. - Recruited, trained, and deployed over two hundred volunteers in nine months.

Launched a Technical Assistance Program for Non-Profit Organizations. Planned and coordinated events related to programming for non-profit organizations.- Developed and coordinated eight technical assistance workshops, two keynote addresses, and two city-wide community forums. - Conceived and organized a Community Advisory Board to set policy guidelines and to aid in attracting program participants who were initially highly skeptical, thereby reducing costs of building this new initiative. - Evaluated program workshops and prepared program effectiveness reports for director. - Assessed technical assistance needs of target group through personal interviews, community visits, and media review.

Identified “best practices” pedagogical techniques new Faculty Development Program. Assisted Program Director in developing training and support materials to improve teaching performance of faculty. Authored quarterly and final program reports. Managed program budget.- Doubled program applicants at end of the first year. - Significantly increased participation of previously recalcitrant senior faculty.- Founded and edited a faculty teaching newsletter.
