Prior to current role as a Manager of a not-for-profit environmental organisaion had ten (10) years’ experience as a lead Project Manager on strategic projects. Managed a portfolio of up to $50 million of projects at any given time. Was a Civil Engineer for 8 years prior to project management.Lead Project Manager on a major Australian Government strategic environmental project at the Mossman Gorge section of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. Involvement spanned 4.5 years, had a $20 million budget and was a “controlled action” under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act (EPBC Act), also included an environmental offset.Demonstrated high level skills in strategic planning and problem solving of complex matters. Contributed to policy documents and strategies, overseen business plans and developed the business plan for the new Cairns Museum, an award-winning project.First class honours in a Bachelor of Engineering (civil) and various short courses as a foundation for project management.
