I cast vision and create strategy for a team that is working to ensure that all children have the opportunity to receive an equitable education. I believe that every child has an immeasurable amount of potential that's waiting to be tapped on and that it takes a network of people from different sectors working collectively to ensure that happens. In 2009, I was exposed to the opportunity gap that students face while teaching 2nd grade in the West End community of Atlanta. After teaching for 3 years, I began coaching teachers towards academic excellence and then managed and developed coaches while designing professional development for beginning teachers. Now, my role consists of building a collective movement in Atlanta for our students to ensure they are on a self-determined path towards their dreams.
