A healthcare system that focuses on keeping people well? …. What a novel idea! I am a healthcare professional with a background in facilitating clinical outcomes improvement, driving care standardization and building and administering bundled payment models. I enjoy working with physicians and all other stakeholders to enhance care coordination between the inpatient and ambulatory settings. This work has inspired my passion for transforming our episodic, “treatment of illness” healthcare model to one that promotes and supports keeping people well – population health!Career achievements I’m most proud of include:• Successfully developed and executed a bundled payment contract that generated more than 100 incremental surgical cases annually.• Redesigned the post-acute experience for joint replacement patients that improved outcomes, fully engaged patients and maximized shared savings.• Authored the foundational white paper that guided development of the organization’s healthcare reform strategy.• Facilitated the achievement of top quintile results in Medicare Pay for Performance programs.• Being known as the organization’s “data guru.” When I’m not thinking about ways to create a more patient-centric healthcare model, I enjoy playing the piano, swimming and serving as crew chief and head logistics expert for my family’s ultra-running adventures.
