Turned the lodge from loss making into a profitable business.Played a key role in getting the lodge from literally unknown on TripAdvisor to being the 7th best lodge out of a total of 322.Managed to reduce operational expenses by implementing control measures and training of staff to do more with less.Tripled the revenue of the hotel through various initiatives and a much stronger focus on client engagements, pre and post visit. Created the corporate revenue segment through identifying the right companies to target, courting them and designing packages that were based on their needs. Some corporate customers started using us as their main venue with multiple yearly bookings. Increased productivity & efficiency by being highly involved in management of all departments of the lodge through proper training and support programmes.Increasing efficiency & company revenue by suggesting & leading the transition to a hotel operation & booking system and better revenue management platform.Improved conversion of prospects into customers and upselling avenues by identifying and negotiating outsourcing of specific functions of the hotel such as the reservations office which led to a substantial increase in actual bookings.Played an instrumental role in preparing the lodge and the brand for sale to an international group that purchased it together with additional properties.
