CurrentProvides technical support and troubleshooting to network, desktop, and/or systems hardware and software. Primary responsibility is to conduct hardware inspections and conduct preventive maintenance of eTools - typically ruggedized laptop PCs running Windows 10. May answer queries by telephone but will usually identify problems during frequent (daily) visits to customer sites. Repairs items found to be defective or orders replacement parts, tracks delivery status and installs upon receipt of parts. Devices typically run Microsoft Windows 10 or Windows Server 2012 R2 and are owned by US Air Force and installed in maintenance shops.● Use troubling shooting to fix any software or hardware that does not break warranty.● Reimage computer equipment when needed to current image or when required due to software errors that are not fixable.● Maintain inventory of all assets under LOGNET control including servers, laptops, tablets, and desktops using Microsoft Access database and Excel spreadsheets.● Ensure e-tools and TCMax software is functioning for customers.● Review ACAS scans done by 87th Communications Squadron and report findings to AMC headquarters.● Ensure maintenance is completed on all equipment housing the computer equipment like cabinets.● Alerts management to recurring problems and patterns of problems.● Records all work accomplished using Remedy IT Service Management software. ● Perform quarterly surveys on Wi-Fi network on the flightline to ensure customer can use computer equipment when perform their duties.● Set up computer equipment with all hardware and software for initial issue to customer.
