Tamar Blue is Y Combinator Alum, founder and CEO of MentalHappy. Her passion for formulating mental health solutions began in high school when she started a peer support organization, Safety Ambassadors, providing social support to classmates experiencing bullying and other issues, which she experienced herself as a first-generation Haitian-American. The program received funding, press, and recognition from the White House. That experience and her journey overcoming panic attacks have fueled her work and advocacy for the past 20 years. After a successful corporate career, Tamar pursued her passion for expanding mental health access. She is a self-taught UX/UI lead and technologist. Tamar has taken innovative ideas to development and profitability and sold to large enterprises.Tamar's work with MentalHappy has appeared in major publications such as Forbes, TechCrunch, Reader's Digest, Silicon Valley Business Journal, Fortune Magazine, and the CIPA award-winning book "Impact Founder: Inspirational Stories of Entrepreneurs Who Risk Everything for What They Believe". Tamar earned her MBA after graduating from Florida State University with a dual degree in Sociology and Economics.
