As a Development Intern at the Cato Institute, I support initiatives to strengthen donor relations and enhance fundraising efforts for one of the nation's leading public policy research organizations. My role includes:Assisting in the drafting and organization of donor communications, event materials, and key development documents.Collaborating with the Development team to maintain accurate CRM data, streamline donor engagement processes, and ensure data integrity.Contributing innovative ideas to help drive development strategies and maximize donor impact.Through this experience, I am deepening my skills in donor relations, nonprofit fundraising, and strategic communications, while aligning with Cato’s commitment to promoting individual liberty, limited government, and free markets.

While working within the Center of Teaching and Learning, I supported the Director/Lead consultant of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning program on a wide range of tasks from literature reviews to co-facilitating a faculty learning community. I also performed data entry and processing, along with overseeing the organization of files and database management.Key Responsibilities:• Facilitate a Faculty and Student Learning community tackling issues in undergraduate research and giving suggestions on how these issues can be addressed.• Analyze social justice and inclusivity and emphasized needed improvements at the University and how to influence change in these areas.• Conduct literature searches and reviews to formulate an understanding of complexities of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
