I have worked with vulnerable and challenging students for the last 16 years in various roles. I am focused on developing and exploring new methods to motivate disengaged teenagers. I believe passionately in alternative and vocational educational elements being a strong and visible part of the curriculum offered in mainstream education. I celebrate the individual and each of their unique strengths and skills sets - to ignore these is to do a disservice to the rising population of young talent.I have worked comprehensively in alternative education and have taught extensively over a wide range of subject areas within schools and colleges mainly focused on 14-16 year olds.I would like to engage with charities and organisations working outside of the education system. I believe that young people need to be supported holistically and with an honest understanding of their individual challenges.
