When Tameka sees conflict or failure, she sees an absence of ‘deeper levels’ of diversity. This is why two individuals of the same race or nationality can be at odds in the workplace or elsewhere due to a lack of tolerance, understanding, input, appreciation and acceptance of the things that make us internally different. Tameka says that internal similarities such as culture and values can result in dominance of a superficial attribute. She advocates diversifying intangible qualities which yields true diversity on every level, from superficial to deep levels of diversity. Simple things have the ability to create a sense of enjoyment & satisfaction for Tameka; however, there is nothing simple about what she creates, builds, or do for others. There is always something special about what she does because she has a disdain for mediocrity.
