Tameka Vasquez is a humanity-centered futurist, business strategist, professor, and speaker. Tameka is currently Founder & Managing Partner of The Future Quo, an advisory to organizations ready to break free from status quo thinking and design radically better futures for people and our planet. The Future Quo comprises a collective of multi-disciplinary strategists, researchers, and creatives who support leaders and teams to unlock a new vision for the future.Previously, Tameka was a marketing strategist who led brand and growth programs for global technology startups and enterprises for over 13 years. In her last role, she served as the first head of marketing for Sidewalk Labs, an urban innovation and sustainability unit at Google. Tameka has delivered keynotes and facilitated discussions and workshops with organizations including NYU's Urban Future Lab, NASA's Glenn Research Center, Aspen Institute, The Association of National Advertisers, Smart Design, Bermuda Economic Development Corporation, Step Dubai, Hospitality Design Magazine, and others. She has taught at universities including Columbia University, The Stevens Institute of Technology, St. John's University, Baruch College, and others.When her family immigrated to New York City, Tameka was a deeply introverted kid with a seldom-heard Guyanese accent who found solace in maps, books and jigsaw puzzles. Needless to say, she had an innate desire to see the world, write stories, and construct the ‘big picture' herself. That’s starting to make sense now.
