I am currently in my second year pursuing B.A. in Economics and Accounting at The Open University of Israel. My coursework has provided me with a strong foundation in financial and managerial accounting, taxation, auditing, finance, micro and macroeconomics, econometrics, and mathematical economics. Through my studies, I have developed solid analytical skills and proficiency in using data to drive business insights. As part of my program, I have gained hands-on experience conducting financial statement analysis, preparing budgets and forecasts, utilizing accounting software, and applying economic modeling. My strong academic performance demonstrates my quantitative aptitude and ability to manage a rigorous courseload. I am eager to apply my education and evolving skillset in a professional accounting or finance role upon graduation.I currently work at the Israel Tax Authority, Assessing Officer in Acre, in Department 17, where my key responsibilities include:- Preparing tax adjustments for salaried employees, including issuing credits and tax relief. - Reviewing and processing income tax refund requests submitted by salaried employees (Form 9.1) and submitting them to the computer system.- Processing tax refunds related to interest income and tax relief for seniors and disabled individuals.- Providing tax information to citizens regarding their past income per the Freedom of Information Act. - Handling inquiries received via mail, fax, email, service box or the online portal, and providing timely responses.- Assisting taxpayers through all service channels (in-person, phone, online, etc.) - Processing requests for tax return corrections and supporting the public in filing online tax adjustments.- Issuing confirmations regarding severance pay, pension funds, and submitting Form 161 to the computer system.- Submitting and sending files to the archive (Form 9.1).- Processing applications for tax exemption due to disability per Section 9(5).- Handling work grants (negative income tax).Through this role, I have developed expertise in Israeli tax law, regulations and procedures. I have also honed critical skills in taxpayer services, data analysis and advanced use of taxation software and systems. I am now looking to leverage this valuable experience in a new challenge within the tax and accounting sector.
