Senior Product Manager
Responsible for interfacing with developer business and marketing groups to create a strategic portfolio of Learning offerings to support the evangelism, launch, and adoption efforts of Visual Studio and other Microsoft developer products:- Partnering early in the product development lifecycle with product management across Microsoft, gathering requirements for the software release - Consulting on types of Learning products (eLearning, books, Instructor-led courses, certifications and certification exams) needed to successfully train customers on the product - Working with Microsoft Learning product management to align business needs and product offerings with the needs of the Microsoft product group and identifying areas for new product development - Consulting within Microsoft Learning on developer learning product development budget and coordinating Microsoft Learning’s budget with Product Groups budgets and Business Marketing’s budgets to ensure all funds leveraged appropriately and all groups are getting the right learning products at the right time Work with Microsoft Product Groups, Microsoft Learning, and Microsoft marketing to ensure that programs and products, positioning and messaging are designed and developed in line with overall product strategy and business requirements: - Define target audiences and create customer profiles, scenarios and personas, and serve as focal point for disseminating this knowledge across Microsoft Learning - Analyze research, market trends, and competitive products - Analyze and understand MS strategic opportunities and develop programmatic strategies that MS Learning is uniquely positioned to solve through learning - Define/drive strategic program objectives and marketing/product requirements based on customer and product group’s needs
