She is a globally recognized expert in data privacy, cybersecurity, and data breach response, known for her ability to spearhead, build, and implement global data protection programs to meet legal requirements and achieve ethical goals. As a corporate lawyer, she represents clients in M&As and IPOs, and advises on executive compensation, stock plans, intellectual property strategy, and regulatory compliance including SEC, NYSE, and NASDAQ.Most recently Tami served as the first Chief Data Privacy Officer for the World Bank, the world’s largest multilateral development bank with 189 member countries and the mission to create and fund sustainable solutions to reduce poverty and build shared prosperity in developing countries. Prior to the World Bank Tami was the Global Data Protection Officer for MoneyGram International, a (then) publicly traded global leader in the evolution of digital P2P payments and pioneer in cross-border payment innovation and blockchain settlement, with 350,000+ storefront locations in 200 countries. Currently, Tami consults with clients seeking to modernize their cybersecurity and data privacy approaches. She recently completed a successful engagement with the Country of Georgia, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), in furtherance of Georgia’s campaign to join the European Union.Tami is a curious, collaborative, and inclusive leader who promotes strong and accountable governance and develops and fosters engaged and loyal team members.
