Collaborated with other summer campus teachers during 3 days of professional development training for literacy and 3 days for math. Implemented the new techniques throughout summer campus and reflected on the success during daily PLCs. I taught literacy and writing to students entering fourth grade for the first half of summer campus and math to students entering third grade during the second half of summer campus. I observed and assessed student performance and kept thorough records of progress. I worked with my grade-level team to evaluate the data on a daily basis and used the results to further guide our instruction.With the high collaboration, my students' reading and mathematical reasoning skills improved. We provided detailed pre- and post-assessment rubrics to parents to keep them informed of their child's success during summer campus.

The MAP reading scores of my second and third grade small groups INCREASED by an average of 14 points.I also improved students' mathematical skills through small group instruction using real-world problems.
