I am a gender and gender-based violence expert focused on building the capacity of those who are working to end gender-based violence and towards women's protection and empowerment internationally. My goal is to ensure women and girls are equal participants in society, free from sexual and domestic violence and discrimination. I have worked in this field for nearly 20 years locally, regionally and globally.My work focuses on the intersectionality of gender equality and violence against women to race, class, economics, education, reproductive health, access to justice and social and cultural norms. My goal is creating an environment where the full diversity and complexity of the people we serve is integrated and respected no matter the context or country. This is core to my work.I work with individuals, organizations (INGOs, LNGOs, non-profits, UN agencies) and government to create sustainable, effective projects and programs to reduce violence and improve gender equity. This is done by using international experience in government relations, technical advice and support, program design, research and assessments, strategic planning and implementation.
