I have been a Marketing/Business Educator and DECA advisor at Foothill since 1995. I love my job! I believe that building relationships with students is paramount in helping them to achieve their personal best. I heard a quote early on in teaching and it has stuck with me… “they don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care”. I have been given the opportunity to make personal and meaningful connections with students that can truly help them shape their future. To me, as a DECA advisor and teacher, we must always ask the question – how can we best reach these students, make an impact in their lives and serve their needs in the best way possible? I believe that my professionalism, passion, leadership and resiliency has enabled me to stay relevant, embrace challenges and help students achieve their personal goals.
