In the role of Senior Vice President of Private Wealth Management, I led 6 trust advisors with more than 1,400 accounts in executing all aspects of fiduciary and administrative duties for $1.72B AUM. My personal book of business included $189M AUM. With a focus on risk management, compliance, and driving new business, my achievements in this role include: -Spearheading a taskforce that identified competencies required for the trust advisor role. These competencies have been used to rewrite job description, interview candidates, evaluate compensation, and educate employees companywide.-Creating a template for trust advisor performance reviews including working with co-managers to write annual performance objectives. These efforts provided officers with clear expectations and consistency in evaluation. -Driving a year-long project, in collaboration with other managers, to review 1,500 fiduciary accounts to mitigate risk and losses. As a result, procedures were revised and training increased.-Partnering with IT, in collaboration with other managers, to create an in-house trust request system that included testing the program, writing procedures, and conducting training. -Administering a $90M estate with complex fiduciary components while carefully mitigating risk to the bank and cultivating relationships with outside legal counsel and clients.

Concurrent with my role as Senior VP and Managing Director of UMB Bank n.a., I served as President and a member of the Board of Directors for UMB Trust Company of South Dakota.In this capacity, I oversaw Board of Directors and Trust Committee meeting materials and reports. In conjunction with the compliance officer, I coordinated with state regulators on exams and annual filings. I also created new policies and procedures, administered accounts, and trained advisors. Achievements in this role include:-Resolving “Management Requires Attention” audit issues by collaborating with the Board to ensure regulatory compliance.

As a Trust Advisor with UMB Bank Kansas, I administered high-net-worth trust accounts including revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, charitable trusts, estates, conservatorships, custodies, and IRAs.
