I had end to end responsibilities for new business generation, key account management, and sales pipeline management and planning - and really enjoyed consulting in talent development, designing the strategic learning plans to develop our clients people. My portfolio includes Sofitel Hotels (Accor), Hilton Hotels, Tourism Australia, Funlab, Guzman Y Gomez, Ella Bache and others.As the company’s first BDM I had the privilege of establishing and strengthening the company’s sales structure. I drove lead generation strategies, created marketing resources and configured sales flow and implemented i perform's first fully funcational CRM. Revenue more than doubled in my first year, and a broader client base meant more stable cashflow for business too.

My objective was retaining clients and growing accounts through up and cross selling. This required developing high trust relationships, negotiating long term service contracts and consulting to clients on optimizing their use of the Meltwater platform. My portfolio included clients from NGO’s to blue chip companies, with target responsibilities of $1.5million and growth targets also. I was the first CRM for the Asia Pacific and the team grew to 7 in my time there.

Learnt the ropes of consultative sales in a great team environment, predominantly using cold calling to generate leads. I was responsible for all stages of sales process including needs analysis, value proposition creation and negotiating with key decision makers. As part of the founding office for Australia, we developed ways to pitch our services, I also recruited and trained new staff as we expanded.
