25 years of nursing service, in areas that have provided me with invaluable lessons in life. I started as a new grad working on the med/surg unit, later served as a critical care nurse, labor and delivery nurse, a nurse manager, home health director and ER manager. I've cared for people of all ages and cultures, I've been a part of bringing life into this world and watched as some left this world. I've laughed and cried with patients and families. I've strengthened others while gaining strength from them. I've looked for guidance from my superiors while being a mentor to others. My strength comes from a higher power, giving me the confidence I need to take on the daily activities of life, peace in knowing that I strive to do my very best, integrity so to the best of my ability I will do the right thing, courage to take on the bullies of life, boldness to approach the unapproachable, patience to know that learning takes time, and an encourager and motivator to those around me to never give up on a dream. Most importantly, I'm compassionate and believe in sharing my strengths with those who are weaker. I am a servant leader, I am a nurse.
