Tammy is a Jewish Educator, Nonprofit Professional and Musician. She is passionate about nurturing individual engagement in Judaism, community development and sustainability, and innovative experiential learning opportunities for learners of all ages. Tammy has over 15 years experience in Jewish and Hebrew education, prayer leading and music programs for children and adults. She also has a love for musical theatre, purim spiels, and storytelling, and is dedicated to connecting together her love for Judaism, music and theatre.In May 2020, Tammy graduated with a Masters of Jewish Education and a Masters of Jewish Non-Profit Management from Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion. After 3 years of living in Israel and Los Angeles, Tammy has returned to her hometown of Melbourne, Australia.In 2014, Tammy completed a Bachelor of Arts (Musical Theatre) at Federation University, Australia. Since then, incorporating her passions for Judaism, education, music and theatre has been at the forefront of her personal and professional endeavours. The training and experience in theatre has guided her work as a Jewish Professional. Drawing on the skills of Event and Stage Management, Vocal Directing and Music/Theatre Performance, Tammy has contributed as an educator, musician and non-profit professional in many settings.

Tammy's role has involved tutoring the students and leading the services, which have taken place in Australia and Israel.Choral Director - Tammy has also been involved in developing and teaching a Youth Choir at Temple Beth Israel (2016), connecting students love for music with their Judaism. Since 2016, Tammy has been involved in devising and presenting Singing Swallows, a contemporary method of Shoah memorial, storytelling and education. Singing Swallows aims to help young children engage with the Shoah, sharing values of Tolerance, Hope, Love and Peace, ensuring that the Holocaust will not be forgotten by future generations. It was presented at Jewish Day Schools in Melbourne in 2018. In 2019, she was an Education Consultant and Actor in the Development Workshops, planning and preparing to make this production accessible to audiences of all needs and abilities. This Development further enhances the important messages of this production and its mission to connect with more young learners around the country. In 2021, singing swallows was performed at theatreworks. Tammy supported this production as an Education Consultant and Production assistant. Tammy continues to have a close relationship to this project and its creatives.

She helped both camps to plan, prepare and recruit for Summer 2020. She planned and implemented the family ambassador programs, helping recruitment. Tammy co-wrote all Jewish content programs for Sci-Tech. She was the lead involved in creating and coordinating the inaugural URJ CA Family Camp, a collaboration between Sci-Tech West and Camp Newman. Her role included creating a budget, timeline, marketing, outreach, staffing, programming and recruitment. -
